Get Contact
Retrieves detailed information about a specific contact by resource name. Returns the contact's complete profile including names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, organizations, birthdays, photos, and other available fields as specified in personFields parameter.
Update Contact
Updates an existing contact by resource name. Specify which fields to update using updatePersonFields parameter (e.g., "names,emailAddresses"). Only the specified fields will be updated, all other fields remain unchanged. Supports updating names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, organizations, birthdays, and biographies.
Search Contacts
Searches for contacts using a plain-text query. Searches across all contact fields including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other information. Returns contacts matching the query with specified fields. Note: A warmup request is recommended to update the cache for better performance.
Get Contact Group
Retrieves details about a specific contact group by resource name. Returns group information including name, type (user-created or system), member count, and optionally a list of members. Use maxMembers parameter to include members in the response.
Modify Group Members
Adds or removes contacts from a contact group. You can add multiple contacts, remove multiple contacts, or do both in a single request. Specify contact resource names to add/remove. Returns lists of contacts that were not found or could not be removed (if trying to remove from last group).
Create Contact
Creates a new contact in Google Contacts with the specified information. You can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, organizations, birthdays, and biographies. At least one field (name or email) is recommended. Returns the newly created contact with its assigned resource name.
List Contacts
Retrieves a list of all contacts in the user's Google Contacts. Supports pagination, sorting by name or modification date, and incremental sync using sync tokens. Use personFields parameter to specify which contact information to return (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, etc.).
Batch Delete Contacts
Permanently deletes multiple contacts in a single request (up to 500 contacts). This action cannot be undone. Only contact data will be deleted; non-contact data remains unchanged. More efficient than deleting contacts one by one.
Update Contact Group
Updates the name of an existing contact group. The new name must be unique across all groups. This action only updates the group name - use "Modify Group Members" to add or remove contacts from the group.
Create Contact Group
Creates a new contact group with the specified name. Group names must be unique - attempting to create a group with a duplicate name will result in an error. Returns the newly created group with its assigned resource name.
